HFD Hangouts

The HFD Hangouts are virtual discussion formats that we offer regularly via Zoom. The Hangouts bring together experts, teachers, employees of didactic or support institutions, students, and interested parties from the world of education to informally exchange ideas on current topics and challenges related to digitization in higher education.

The online meeting begins with a keynote speech. Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and actively participate in the discussion. The topics are set by the community itself. We record some of the keynote presentations and make them available here and on YouTube.

Hangout Series HFD Let’s Talk! Sharing ideas – taking along impulses (2021)

Online event series on good practice from online teaching.

During the Corona pandemic, faculty and students gained a variety of experiences with teaching at a distance by transitioning from face-to-face to online/blended/hybrid teaching scenarios. In an open dialogue in the HFD Hangout format “Let’s Talk” – a spin-off of the HFD Hangouts – teachers, students and university/media didacticians from one institution talked to each other about realized teaching concepts in 2020/21 and their experiences with them. A good-practice example from the HFD community served as a starting point for each session. Afterwards, there was room for questions from the participants during the discussion.
